History
The Ogallala Yacht Club has been an organized entity since the
1950s. Few records tell us about the organization at that time.
The club originally supported both sailboats and power boats.
Sometime in the 1970s there was a split and the OYC became primarily
a sailboat organization. The history of the club since the mid-1980s
is being assembled from archived newsletters. We hope to have
a more complete history soon. If past or present members have
any interesting facts about the OYC please forward information
